Yes (kind of). Each iteration of iPhone has a camera with greater resolution and so we’ve seen a steady improvement in picture quality. That said, it feels that the improvement has plateaued recently and any phone from an iPhone 12 / iPhone se3 has a great picture.
If you are in the UK the direct link for the e-i Pro app is: ei-Pro
If you follow this link on your iPhone it should take you straight there.
Yes. A bright light source enables a really quick shutter speed (fast exposure) on your camera and this leads to great imaging. Conversely, if your light source is dim, your camera will need to a slow shutter speed (slow exposure) to enable enough light to come through. This will lead to a laggy, slow picture, and so poor imaging.
If you need a brighter light source, then we sell a great one!: Light Source
We are totally committed to delivering great endoscopic imaging. Please try watching this video to optimise your picture: Instruction Movie .
Clearly having a good quality endoscope (when you look through it with your eye with the light source on do you get a great picture? if not, then you may require a new endoscope) and a super bright light source are critical requirements great imaging.great imaging.
Afraid not, we are currently iPhone only. If you are an Android user I would advise seeing the phone as a stand alone imaging device and purchasing a new or good conditioned second hand iPhone. This also ensures you don’t get interrupted with phone calls and messages when scoping patients! We think the iPhone SE3 represents a great balance of picture quality and price.
